Presentazione del progetto Erasmus + KA2 “THE EUROPEAN NEWSROOM” (TEN)
SCHEDA DI PROGETTO
Il progetto THE EUROPEAN NEWSROOM candidato per la Call 2016 all’Azione Chiave partenariati strategici tra sole scuole per lo scambio di buone pratiche- Settore scuola, è stato approvato dall’Agenzia finlandese Erasmus+ e dall’Agenzia italiana Indire.
Tale progetto è di durata biennale ed è finanziato interamente dalla Comunità Europea: esso prevede scambi culturali della durata di una settimana tra 8 studenti del nostro Liceo e altrettanti alunni del Liceo finlandese Raudaskylän Kristillinen Opisto ry (Scuola Capofila. Sito web: www.rko.fi ) e del Liceul Teoretic “Dr. Mihai Ciuca” in Romania (sito web: http://drciuca.licee.edu.ro/).
Ogni studente potrà prendere parte a una sola mobilità durante la quale avrà l’opportunità di esercitarsi nell’uso della lingua inglese, stringere amicizia con i coetanei europei ed entrare in contatto con diversi sistemi educativi partecipando anche a visite guidate in luoghi di interesse culturale e turistico.
Gli studenti che parteciperanno al progetto saranno ospitati presso il pensionato studentesco delle scuole partner o presso famiglie selezionate.
Conosceranno usi e costumi diversi dai propri e saranno pertanto educati al rispetto della diversità culturale.
Essi acquisiranno preziose competenze digitali necessarie al montaggio e alla produzione di video: il principale prodotto successivo alla mobilità sarà infatti la creazione di un canale youtube con una serie di tutorial su vari argomenti di studio ed esempi di video giornalismo.
Gli studenti apprenderanno il linguaggio giornalistico e cinematografico, le leggi che regolano la privacy e la gestione di contenuti informativi open source, le tecniche per preparare un telegiornale, per condurre un’intervista, esploreranno il mondo dell’editoria digitale, analizzeranno i problemi di copyright, le leggi che tutelano il diritto d’Autore e le responsabilità civili e penali che derivano dalla pubblicazione di contenuti digitali.
Al progetto Erasmus + è collegato un progetto omonimo su eTwinning, il portale di gemellaggi virtuali fra scuole (www.etwinning.net) gestito dall’Indire, che consentirà agli allievi di rimanere in contatto con gli altri studenti incontrati all’estero durante le mobilità per continuare a lavorare in modalità blended.
La proficua e attiva partecipazione al progetto sarà parte integrante della valutazione scolastica dell’allievo, costituirà credito scolastico, rientrerà nel curriculum formativo pertanto sarà spendibile a livello accademico e/o nel mondo del lavoro.

SCHEDA DI PROGETTO- PROJECT SUMMARY
Videos are an increasingly popular way to convey information and meaning. They can be a powerful tool when you’re trying to influence wide masses in Europe and the rest of the world. This project aims to increase the understanding and skills of high school students when it comes to producing your own videos and .
The problem of using video in school projects is that usually only people who are enthusiastic about video have the patience to take the time and produce quality videos. This project aims to make the everyday use of videos as a learning tool easier for upper secondary students. This way both will learn how to communicate better in an audiovisual format. They’ll also be better informed about how to distribute these videos, how to make sure that privacy and copyright are being respected and about the ethics of visual journalism.
What we will provide is structure to the academic introduction to video production – presenting and evaluating visual information produced by the students – at an upper secondary level. The main intellectual output is a YouTube channel that includes video tutorials that encompass both the low-threshold use of videos in a variety of subject in themselves and the general use of video journalism in phenomenon-based learning. Below is the structure of our training events and similarly the structure of the YouTube channel playlists and the website that embeds them.
- Learning and evaluating using the language of cinema.

– low-threshold ways of using video in the classroom in every subject
– technical instruction on cameras and lighting
- Videojournalism and the interview as tools in phenomenon-based learning.
– identifying subjects that can be used in news stories
– how to prepare the background for a newsstory
– how to prepare for an interview
– how to conduct an interview
– technical instruction on editing and producing the video
- Copyright issues, digital publishing and international cooperation for schools and students.
– how to protect your copyright
– who is responsible for the content when it is published
– general knowledge on digital publishing
– how to set up international cooperation using phenomenon-based learning via news stories.
We will turn what we have created during these training events into short informational video tutorials. Hopefully our materials will help students and teachers realize the power of videos and teach them the necessary knowledge and skills so they can better communicate in an audiovisual medium. Hopefully, on the long term, video will become a natural tool of conveying information on real-life phenomena in the upper secondary classroom.
